The TV FOUNDATION INSIGHT (INNSIKT) is a media house defending freedom of expression. It has received NOK 500.000,- as a grant from The Freedom of Expression Foundation (FRITT ORD) for its work.
- INSIGHT will specialize in production of television documentaries and films with important contents: Norwegian and international social conditions, human rights issues, developing countries issues, and subjects concerning art and culture.
- INSIGHT's productions will be on a professional level and will be sold to TV-stations both nationally and internationally. The productions will also be offered to educational and informational institutions. INSIGHT wants to be a serious supplier of contents to both analog and digital nets.
- INSIGHT will develop and offer courses on serious, critical and investigative documentary journalism.
- INSIGHT takes on different research assignments on important issues.
- INSIGHT will put a critical eye on the national and international media development, and will engage in questions as internationalisation, acquisitions, monopolisation, ownership, program contents and the television development in Norway.
- INSIGHT has a widespread international contact net of similar television production companies.
- INSIGHT is a self-supporting foundation, and all of INSIGHT's employees have moderate salaries. All of INSIGHT's proceeds are used to make new television productions about serious and non-commercial issues.
